These terms explain how MotorArc markets vehicles, handles enquiries, arranges appointments and agrees vehicle sales. They are designed to be clear, fair and consistent with your rights under UK consumer law.

1. About MotorArc and This Website

  • MotorArc is an independent used vehicle business. This website is primarily an enquiry and information platform for our stock and related services.
  • Browsing the website, sending an enquiry or arranging an appointment does not by itself create a binding contract for the sale of a vehicle.
  • A vehicle sale is only agreed when the specific terms of that transaction have been confirmed with you in writing and any agreed payment arrangements have been made.

2. Vehicle Listings, Descriptions and Availability

  • Our vehicles are used vehicles. Age, mileage, service history, cosmetic condition and specification will vary from car to car.
  • We prepare listings in good faith and aim for accuracy, but prices, specifications, mileage, features, warranty details and availability may change before a sale is concluded.
  • Unless clearly stated otherwise, vehicles are described as HPI clear based on the checks we have carried out. Customers should still satisfy themselves that the vehicle is right for them before purchase.

3. Viewings, Test Drives and Part-Exchange

  • Viewings and test drives are by appointment. We may ask for a valid driving licence, proof of identity and any other reasonable information before a test drive takes place.
  • You are encouraged to inspect the vehicle carefully and raise any questions before committing to a purchase.
  • Any part-exchange valuation is indicative until we have inspected the vehicle, checked its condition, mileage, documents and any relevant history.

4. Prices, Reservations and Payment

  • Unless stated otherwise, prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP). Any additional delivery charges, reservation fees or other agreed charges will be confirmed with you before you are bound.
  • If we agree to reserve a vehicle, the reservation terms, including the amount paid and whether any reservation fee is refundable, will be confirmed in writing before payment is taken.
  • If you cancel after asking us to reserve or prepare a vehicle for you, and no legal right to a refund applies, we may retain or deduct a reasonable amount to reflect costs or losses we have genuinely incurred.
  • Cleared funds must be received before a vehicle is released for collection or delivery.

5. Consumer Rights, Warranty and Refunds

  • Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any rights you have as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or any other applicable law.
  • Where we sell a vehicle to a consumer, it must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality taking account of the fact that it is a used vehicle.
  • If a vehicle is faulty or materially misdescribed, your remedies may include repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances and the law.
  • Any warranty or guarantee we provide is in addition to, not a replacement for, your legal rights. Full warranty details will be confirmed in writing for the relevant vehicle.
  • For standard in-person sales, we do not generally offer change-of-mind refunds after a completed purchase unless we agree otherwise in writing or the law gives you that right.
  • If a sale is concluded entirely at a distance or off-premises, additional information and cancellation rights may apply. Where relevant, we will provide the required pre-contract information before you are bound.

6. Delivery and Collection

  • Collection and delivery are by arrangement only. Any quoted delivery date or timescale is an estimate unless we have expressly agreed otherwise.
  • Delivery charges and handover arrangements will be confirmed with you before the transaction is finalised.
  • Title to the vehicle remains with us until cleared funds have been received in full. Risk passes on collection by you or on physical handover at delivery.

7. Website Use and Third-Party Links

  • You must use this website lawfully and must not interfere with its operation, security or availability.
  • Links to third-party websites, including external listing platforms, are provided for convenience only. Their content and terms are outside our control.
  • Vehicle location maps, estimated distance information and directions may rely on third-party mapping or browser location features. These are provided for convenience only and may be unavailable, approximate or subject to the relevant third party's own terms and policies.
  • Information on this website is not financial, legal or tax advice and should not be treated as such.

8. Liability

  • Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.
  • Subject to the above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit or business interruption arising from use of this website or from any transaction, except where the law says otherwise.

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our business, website or legal obligations. The latest version will always be published on this page.
